Do you have experience in CNC and want to take the step towards a role with more variety, more problem-solving, and more contact with customers and development projects? Then this could be something for you.
At Seco and our Technical Center in Fagersta, we are now looking for a CNC operator who wants to work together with an open and helpful team at the forefront of our product development. Here you will work daytime with flexibility in an ergonomic work environment without physically demanding tasks and have great opportunities for development!
About your new team
At our Technical Center, we work with cutting technology validation of both new and existing products within O&I (Offer & Innovation) globally. There is a large number of different CNC-controlled machines, and we provide equipment for analyzing the machining process in the form of, for example, cutting force measurement, IR camera, and high-speed filming. Together with our sales technicians, we solve our customers' cutting technology problems and participate in the launch of new products.
Job responsibilities
In this role, you will work in a development environment where the tasks differ from traditional production – you will perform test validation of both prototypes and new products and be an important part of the chain when it comes to new product launches.
Keeping yourself updated on new technology and market news is an important part of your job. You are our face to the outside world and support many important parts of our business, and with your pleasant demeanor, you will professionally present our assignments and products to customers and visitors.
Your work also includes:
- Having overall responsibility for one of the machines in the department.
- Creating your own CNC programs.
- Conducting machining demonstrations for both internal and external visitors.
- Participating in specific customer projects linked to our sales companies.
- Being responsible for planning and booking both machine time and your own time.
- Collaborating with clients and planning setups for upcoming tests.
- Compiling results and presenting them professionally.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with experience in cutting machining and NC programming. Previous education in CNC is an advantage. We see it as a benefit if you have knowledge in CAD/CAM and are used to working in the Office suite. Since we operate in a global environment, it is important that you have good knowledge of English.
As a person, you are structured, flexible, and good at taking responsibility – solving problems and finding improvement opportunities comes naturally to you. You learn quickly and develop a strong interest and broad knowledge in your field. You enjoy working in a team and project format where you together create the conditions for delivering good results.
Our Seco culture
At Seco, we are convinced that diversity leads to a better environment for our employees, our company, and our customers, and we look forward to meeting you!
